Looks like Auti, Mia, Angela, and Tiphany are all getting set to kick off their shoes tonight to watch the premier of their show, ‘Push Girls’ Season 2!
These gals have made some serious waves and the Sundance channel, I must admit, have done a great PR job in advertising and creating media “spotlights” on the ladies.
They’re all talented, glamorous, intelligent and attractive Los Angeles women – but this group of reality stars has something else in common: They’re all in wheelchairs.
Season two of Sundance Channel’s docu-series “Push Girls” premieres Monday, having drawn critical acclaim last year for denouncing society’s perception of life as a paraplegic or quadriplegic, chronicling the ups and downs, romances, heartbreaks and daily difficulties faced by four friends in wheelchairs.-Read the article and watch the fox anchor interview with Tiphany and Mia. www.foxnews.com

Nuestra Belleza Latina (Our Latin Beauty) is on the Univision Network and the show began a couple of weeks ago and this reality competition is a battle to be crowned Beauty Queen of the Latin world. For the first time in history, they voted through a disabled contestant, Tamara Mena.
Tamara Mena’s audition was extremely emotional. The Mexican born beauty Tamara Mena started off giving a report at a mock up newsroom desk. When she finished the stage crew assisted her and to everyone’s surprise the beauty behind the desk was in a wheelchair. She told the judges she always watched Nuestra Belleza and thought “why not try.”
But despite the emotional story, her dream of being a TV presenter and her strength, Tamara was eliminated. Lupita Jones was broken hearted to say no after hearing Tamara’s story, her willpower to continue on with her life, her talent and beauty in front of the camera. It was the physical strength criteria that impeded Tamara to continue on.
Tamara is the first candidate in the history of Nuestra Belleza that marked the judge’s hearts, the producers, host, guests and thousands of viewers with her courage, persistence, faith, willpower and overall love for her life to continue on and not be afraid to take chances. Tamara Mena is a true winner, an inspiration, and role model. -Read more at: www.examiner.com
The controversy is this: “It was the physical strength criteria that impeded Tamara to continue on.” because of her physical limitations, they couldn’t allow her to go on. Some question, well why would they allow her to pass in the first place? Only to provide higher ratings? But I say, because the main stream media is beginning to realize the important of the inclusion of people with disabilities. By the way, Tamara Mena is a motivational speaker, Ekso Bionics Ambassador and much more! Check out all her work at: TamaraMena.com Good job Tamara!

Beck’s played a round of football, blind folded, to coach and support the Paralympic UK Football team.
My view of David Beckham has changed, despite his small voice, but my hat goes of to him for his contribution to the community.
And yes ladies, I can see why he’s an adorable puppy you want to squeeze, kiss, and hold close… and possibly rape… wait what?
